Before training as a counsellor, Greg worked in trades and then spent ten years teaching, much of it with adult learners in Canada and abroad. As a teacher, he began to see how mental health challenges were affecting his students and limiting their potential. Over time, the limits of the classroom left him longing for a more direct way of helping people, and that search eventually brought him to counselling.
Greg brings an approach that is real, warm, and non-judgmental. He works with individuals, couples, and families, and welcomes clients from all backgrounds. His varied life experience and work with diverse cultures inform a practice that feels grounded and approachable. He is beginning training in Somatic Experiencing and draws from Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and CBT.
Greg feels that therapy should meet people where they are. Therapy does not have to start with something big; it can be as simple as showing up to talk about what is on your mind. And if the words are not there—or if the story feels too hard to tell—just start by noticing what is happening physically: an emotion or some tension can provide a solid place to begin.
Outside of counselling, he enjoys working around his house, time with friends, gardening, reading, or just watching a movie.

Life can feel overwhelming at times whether from competing responsibilities, chronic stress, personal or health-related challenges, or the profound impact of loss and major life transitions. Experiences such as becoming a mother, navigating postpartum depression (PPD), perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), infertility, or grief can bring especially intense and isolating emotions.
When you meet with Hayley, you will be welcomed into a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and less alone. She offers counselling to women navigating a wide range of concerns, as well as support for partners, and is deeply committed to meeting each client with compassion, care, and respect.
Hayley’s approach is person-centred and ACT-informed, with a particular focus on grief, identity shifts, and life transitions. She believes you are the expert of your own lived experience, and views therapy as a collaborative journey grounded in curiosity, empathy, and trust. Together, you will gently explore thoughts and emotions, make space for difficult experiences, reconnect with your values, and work toward healing, clarity, and a renewed sense of resilience, at your pace, and with compassion.
